Daily Discard
The Daily Discard is about throwing stuff out. It’s a spiritual quest to simplify life. Each day I find something around the house which is no longer needed, doesn’t work any more, has outlived its purpose or is just plain junk. Then I throw it away or give it away.

Brass Bowl

This brass bowl would probably polish up quite nicely if I had the time and elbow grease.
It's been sitting on top of the fridge for a while. I hope that someone with some brasso finds it.

Star Mobile
We have had a friend staying at our place for the last few days after she had a car accident. The car is a write off, but before she sold it as scrap, she salvaged this hanging mobile that she bought 4 years ago. It was intended as a gift, but has been sitting in the car in it's original packing all this time.
She doesn't want to take it to her next destination, so now's the time to blog it and get rid of it.
I'll hang it in a tree outside.

Objects Returned!
Yesterday someone actually returned some stuff that had been left out.
The oil burner left out on Thursday November 9th and the plastic cups left out Sunday the 15th October were both returned to the fence post!
They were gone again soon after.

Novel - Dead Famous by Ben Elton

Once you have read one Ben Elton book, you have read them all. The first couple were good. But I couldn't get past the first few pages of this dreary thing.
I'll put it out in the Salvation Army bin.

More Pebbles

Back on Thursday last week I threw out a single pebble. I thought, at the time, that this was the only one in the house. Since then, some other pebbles have come to light. They where hiding in a goblet somewhere. Chris new where they were, but I didn't.
So they will follow their lonely mate and be discarded as well.
